Prot4EST is a perl script that takes expressed sequence tags (ESTs) and translates them optimally to produce putative peptides. Prot4EST intergrates a number of programs to overcome problems inherent with translating ESTs. Prot4EST and all of the external programs are freely available to academic researchers.
